All aboard! Next stop...New York! On this trip, we will explore New York's landforms, taking a trip under Niagara Falls and up into the Catskill Mountains. We will explore the history, industry, natural resources and culture of the state, especially the contributions of immigrants and native peoples.

Examines the ancient civilizations of the Olmec, Aztec, and Maya; Spanish conquest of the Aztec; the impact of Catholic missionaries; the wars for independence. Looks at Mexican leaders such as Benito Juarez, Father Hidalgo, and General Santa Anna.

Looks at how the geography of Mexico has shaped its history, society, and culture. Examines a variety of regions including the Sonoran Desert and the rainforests of Chipas. Discusses major industries like silver mining and tourism.

Viewers will learn about the rich cultural heritage of Mexico. Looks at the influences of indigenous people and Spanish rule in clothing, folktales, foods and holidays. Includes a sample day in the life of a fisherman's son and a young girl in Mexico City. Also looks at Tejano bands, artwork of Diego Rivera, and Talavera pottery.

In the late 1700s to 1800s, the continental U.S. grew in size from only 13 colonies in the East to stretch across the continent to the Pacific Ocean. Join our players in a Pioneer Life adventure game, and follow events and historical figures during the westward expansion. Learn how the Louisiana Purchase and the Gold Rush encouraged the exploration and settlement of the U.S.

Fire Station explores how firefighters keep the public safe and informed. Young viewers will get a feel for what a local fire station looks like as well as the trucks, uniforms, protective gear and equipment that is found there. From the dispatcher to the fire chief, we'll take a look at the daily lives of the brave people who make the fire station run smoothly in every community.

Police Station explores how police officers serve to keep the public safe. Young viewers will get a feel for the different types of jobs police officers do, the busy place where they work and the uniforms and gear that they wear.

School introduces young viewers to what a typical day at school might be like and the people that you'd find there, such as students, teachers and the principal. Viewers will come to understand that the school can be a big place made up of many different parts like classrooms, the cafeteria and the playground!

Viewers take a trip to City Hall. Introduces young viewers to the services that the local government provides, like educating children, keeping the community clean and making laws. Examines the different offices that are often located in city hall, how laws are passed, experience what a typical day is like for city council workers and the mayor.

This program teaches viewers that there are two basic types of businesses: ones that provide goods and ones that provide services. Examines different types of businesses and and discusses their importance in the community because of the goods and services they provide and as a source of employment. Includes Spanish Language track.

Picture books, biographies, fiction -- what kind of books do you like? The library is a place for people in the community to find books they enjoy, use the computer to surf the Web and gather together for meetings. This show teaches viewers that at the library, they can find all different types of information, from books and magazines to maps and movies!

Post Office introduces young viewers to this important place in the community. From helping people mail a letter to delivering packages to one's door, the post office enables people to communicate with others in their own community and beyond.

Explores the physical features of the hospital and the describes the jobs of the people who work there. From doctors and nurses to volunteers, viewers will learn how workers care for their patients. Also discusses what happens in different departments within a hospital. Includes Spanish Language track.
