Welcome to GVLibraries

GVLibraries is your portal to the Media Library, School Library System resources, and the Game Library. Here you will find an extensive collection of instructional and staff development titles. This catalog provides access to online videos, ebooks, and delivery of DVDs and digital audiobooks on iPod Shuffles.

Video streaming allows teachers instant access to resources including Bill Nye the Science Guy, Economics USA, Weston Woods animated books, and more. Ebooks include the TumbleBooks Library (elementary) collection as well as interactive ebook series on New York State, Ancient Civilizations, and Digital Citizenship. The media library also provides off-air program video recording and video editing/duplication services within limits of copyright law. Resources are purchased in anticipation of instructional needs as well as on-demand to respond to specific requests from teachers. Please let us know how we can help you!

The Game Library provides additional resources to support library and classroom instruction. The Game Library contains more than 200 curriculum aligned modern board games. Staff can also provide professional development support to help librarians and students learn how to play the games or to help them set up a gaming program that is appropriate for their libraries. You can browse the library to find games to match your instructional goals, or feel free to contact either Christopher Harris (cgharris@gvboces.org) or Brian Mayer (bmayer@gvboces.org) for help in finding the right game for your library or classroom.
