Description

This kit is designed for use in the 3rd grade classroom. This was designed to address the Next Gen. Science standard 3-PS2-1: Plan and conduct an investigation to provide evidence of the effects of balanced and unbalanced forces on the motion of an object. The accompanying lesson plan can be found later in this catalog record.

The kit includes the following materials:

  • 4 Makey Makey Circuit Boards
  • 4 USB Wire
  • 28 20” Alligator Clip Wires
  • 1 Roll of copper tape
  • Aluminum Foil
  • 4 Marbles
  • 4 Matchbox cars
  • Hot Wheels track: (12) 9" track, (8) blue track connectors,

We have provided as much as possible to make the project successful. You will supplement with other maker materials such as cardboard, brass fasteners, paperclips, and other necessary items.

This kit was paid for through a grant from the Harold Hacker Fund for the Advancement of Libraries, sponsored by the Friends and Foundation of the Rochester Public Library and the Rochester Regional Library Council (RRLC).
