From fiction to nonfiction, short stories to poems to memoirs, creative and narrative writing often stem from writers' imaginations or personal interests, weaving together believable characters, settings, and plots. In this program, young writers use tools and strategies that include character webs, outlines, dialogue, point of view, foreshadowing, flashbacks, and descriptive and figurative language to develop and refine very different, distinct, and compelling stories.
