Dong! Dong! Dong! The school bell is ringing. The fall wind is blowing. Mr. Putter wishes he could go back to school—even for just one day. Then he has an idea: How about a visit during show-and-tell with his fine cat, Tabby? And Zeke and Mrs. Teaberry? The teacher agrees, but there’s one problem. She and the students expect pet tricks. Will Tabby and Zeke be able to deliver?

Mary Marony's teacher has brought in chocolate bars for the whole class! She has hidden something inside the wrappers of five of them. Who will pick the chocolate surprises? Mary hopes not classmate Marvin Higgins—he wins everything and he's MEAN. When Mary takes the matter into her own hands, her actions reveal the biggest surprises of all.

Yikes! When the suffixes hear that the students will tackle word endings after lunch, they head to the gym and prepare to defend themselves. Meanwhile, Mr. Wright discovers the lesson has disappeared. He threatens the kids with no summer vacation unless they find the word endings. The class scrambles to track down the endings, quickly hanging up (suffix-less) wanted posters all over the school. Relived to know the kids' true intentions, the suffixes leave clues around the school that help save summer vacation and teach the kids a lesson they'll never forget — a very happy ending!

Trixie can't wait to bring her one-of-a-kind Knuffle Bunny to school and show him off to everyone. But when she gets there, she sees something awful: Sonja has the same bunny. Suddenly, Knuffle Bunny doesn't seem so one-of-a-kind anymore. Chaos ensues until the bunnies are taken away by Ms. Greengrove. After school, Trixie finally gets her beloved bunny back. But in the middle of the night, Trixie realizes something. She has the wrong bunny!

Worm likes school...almost as much as he likes weekends. The best part of school for Worm is his teacher, Mrs. Mulch. When Mrs. Mulch misses a day of class, Worm and his friends discover that it's her birthday. Who knew teachers could take the day off? Who knew teachers had birthdays? Worm does know one thing--he has to figure out the perfect present.
