In rural America, people relied on local resources and were isolated from industrial advances found in large cities. The wooden bucket was important as it was used every day for water. 13 year old Thomas, comes for his first day of apprenticeship to learn about the tools and steps in making a wooden bucket from White Cooper Norm Pedersen.
