Description

This kit is designed to be used as the culminating class project to address the Next Gen. Science MS-ESS1-1 standard: Develop and use a model of the Earth-Sun-Moon to describe the cyclical patterns of lunar phases, eclipses of the sun and moon, and seasons. The lesson plan can be found later in the record.

The kit includes the following materials:

  • 4 Makey Makey Circuit Boards
  • 4 USB Wires
  • 48 20” Alligator Clip Wires
  • 12 6’ Alligator Clip Wires
  • 12 6” Multicolored Connector Wire Sets (6 wires in each set)
  • 12 Graphite Pencils
  • 10-pack PlayDough
  • Foam Craft Balls

*The cardboard box model in the photo above is only an example of what students could make, and is not included in the actual kit.

We have provided as much as possible to make the project successful. You will supplement with other maker materials such as cardboard, brass fasteners, paperclips, and other necessary items.
