From the last remains of the once-powerful Ashanti civilization in Ghana to Lamu, the oldest and best preserved Swahili settlement in East Africa, and on to Mali, where the Dogon people work to preserve their ancient culture, viewers will acquire a unique historical perspective of Africa and the rich heritage of its people.
